Emily Hopcian
Storyteller and content producer Emily Hopcian focuses on character-driven stories of outdoor adventure and social and environmental impact. Hopcian has been writing, directing and producing stories for outlets like National Geographic Adventure, REI Co-op Journal, She Explores, Stay Wild Magazine, RANGE Magazine and more, for over a decade. Together with One World Play Project, a social impact company, she has traveled from Brazil to Kenya and Myanmar to produce videos. Passionate about telling truly local stories with universal themes, Hopcian’s film Durga: Forging a New Trail (Mountainfilm 2021) follows a young Nepalese woman who leaves her rural village to become a mountain guide.
