Mountainfilm for Students
Our mission is to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. As a primary element of this mission, our student programs offer engaging content featuring inspiring stories to ignite the imagination and broaden perspectives.
Mountainfilm for Students is available via an online virtual platform to provide educators with film programs curated by grade level and individual films accompanied by classroom materials. A downloadable file with supporting tech and emcee notes can be available for assembly-style screenings. These resources are available at no cost to K-12 public schools.
If you are an educator at a K-12 public school and would like to bring Mountainfilm for Students to your school, please complete our application below, and a Mountainfilm staff member will contact you at the email provided.
If you are with a private institution and are interested in bringing Mountainfilm to your school, consider hosting a Mountainfilm on Tour show.

Festival Camp
If your student is curious about film, storytelling and the world around them, Mountainfilm’s Festival Camp offers a unique way to experience the festival.
Through a partnership with Telluride Academy, students spend four days immersed in Mountainfilm, May 22-25, 2026. They watch a curated selection of documentaries, participate in thoughtful group discussions and meet filmmakers and guest speakers whose work explores important global issues.
