Mary E Campground (Located in Illium)
New this year! We’re excited to offer five nights of camping during Mountainfilm, exclusively for passholders. To book your spot, a flat fee of $150 covers five nights of camping (May 22-27) — whether you stay for one night or the entire time (and we hope you do!). Mary E. Campground is a USFS campground, but Mountainfilm manages it during the festival. If you have any questions or requests, please reach out to the Mountainfilm staff directly.
Campground: Mary E Ilium Campground - limit 2 vehicles and 8 persons per site
Location: 7.5 miles from Telluride on County Road 63L in Ilium
Directions: From Telluride, travel approximately 6 miles west on Highway 145 towards Placerville. Turn left on County Road 63L (Ilium Road) and drive 1.5 miles to the Mary E Camping Area

Camping dates: The campground opens at 12 pm on Thursday, May 22. All campers must check out by 12 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025
Who: Reservations are restricted to Mountainfilm passholders only on a first-come, first-serve basis
Fee: $150 nonrefundable fee for 5 nights

2025 Mountainfilm Campground Policies (Mary E Campground)
Grounds:
The Mary E Campground is a popular spot with 19 designated campsites, each one marked with a numbered site post, fire ring and a picnic table. Portable toilets and a dumpster are provided. There is no water. Trailers and RVs are allowed but are restricted to those that are no more than 22 feet in length. Dogs must remain on leash at all times within the campground.
- Fires are permitted in designated fire rings only, if there are no fire restrictions. (https://www.fs.usda.gov/)
- A maximum of 8 people and no more than 2 cars are permitted per site
- Do not cut off tree branches for any reason
- No nails, screws, ropes, or lines are to be tied or inserted into trees or shrubs
- Do not leave trash, food remnants, pet food, or candles at campsites
- Vending is prohibited in the campground
- Visitors are allowed at your campsite
- No drones or aerial devices are permitted
- Do not walk through other campsites to access trails or other park features
- Never approach, feed, or entice wildlife
- Additional parking is NOT available; plan accordingly.
- Vehicle size restrictions apply based on the specific site
- Pack-in, Pack-out!
Pets:
- Pets must always be on a leash in the Campground
- Pets must never be left unattended at a campsite
- Clean up after your pet
