Tom Shadyac

Tom Shadyac is a longtime friend to Mountainfilm and director of blockbuster comedies such as Ace Ventura, The Nutty Professor and Bruce Almighty. He also directed an autobiographical documentary that addresses how, despite his professional achievements and financial success, he felt unfulfilled. I Am (Mountainfilm 2010), which won both the Audience Choice and Student Awards, is both an introspective journey about happiness and a larger commentary on the American Dream, questioning why we're more prosperous today, yet apparently less happy than ever.
