
Todd Jones
Todd Jones is an accomplished filmmaker and along with his brother Steve, is co-founder of Teton Gravity Research (TGR), which is widely recognized for groundbreaking documentaries that capture the essence of human perseverance and the relationship between athletes and the natural world. The Jackson Hole, Wyoming-based action sports media company was started in 1995 and has been producing movies featuring some of the best skiers and snowboarders in the world — including Todd and Steve’s brother, Jeremy Jones — ever since. Over his illustrious career, Jones has mastered the art of combining cinematic storytelling with breathtaking visuals, creating films that resonate deeply with global audiences. Among his most notable works are Lindsey Vonn: The Final Season, Andy Irons: Kissed by God, and HBO’s Edge of the Earth. In these films, Jones explores themes of resilience, triumph and the profound challenges faced by world-class athletes. His film Almost Ablaze (Mountainfilm 2015) showcases the big-mountain skiing of Wyoming, Alaska, British Columbia, Sarajevo, Italy and France. His other well-known films include Rogue Elements: Corbet's Couloir Segment, 10 Year Old Kai Jones’ Mind-Blowing Season Edit (both Mountainfilm 2018); Far Out (Mountainfilm 2019) and Winterland Segment (Mountainfilm 2020).
