Thomas Silcock

Alongside fellow directors Cristóbal Ruiz and Toto Thots, Thomas Silcock directed the short film Añay Kachi: Salt Workers of the Peruvian Andes (Mountainfilm 2021). In the film, Silcock takes the viewer to the Peruvian Andes where Indigenous people have been harvesting salt for centuries. The highs and lows of the work is seen through the eyes of a 65-year-old salt worker, as the film explores the struggle and cultural significance of the work and this place.
