
Seilina Miles
Selina Miles is an Australian director who has worked in over 20 countries worldwide with representation in Sydney, New York, Paris and London. She began her career as an editor of online content before moving into directing commercials, and most recently her first feature documentary, supported by Screen Australia and Submarine Entertainment. Miles applies her vibrant and energetic style to all she does, specializing in a range of technological tricks such as hyper-lapse and stop-motion. She has worked with brands such as JD Sports, Pepsi, Red Bull and Ubisoft. After studying multimedia design at University of Queensland, Miles discovered a passion for filmmaking, and went on to direct a series of videos for ARIA-award winning band “The Hilltop Hoods,” including “Shredding the Balloon,” winner of a silver ACS award in 2012. In 2013, Miles self-produced a range of hyper-lapse videos featuring artist Sofles. The second in this series, “Limitless,” was released on Youtube in October 2013 and quickly gained over 12 million views. 2016 saw Miles progress into the documentary field, self-producing a series of films on Vimeo titled “Portrait of an Artist.” This led to the creation of “The Wanderers,” a series of six 10-minute documentaries which premiered on ABC iView in 2017 and went on to achieve distribution in America and Europe. Her work on Carefree’s “Meet the Matriarchs” campaign in 2018 achieved a Glass Spike Award for Change. She is the director of Concrete Dreams: The Skate Awakening of Laos (Mountainfilm 2024).
