Rebecca Hynes

Real people, real life and real stories ignite Rebecca Hynes’ work as a filmmaker. Based in Bend, Oregon, she has been working in the film industry for more than 15 years. Hynes has a broad scope of experience that informs each project she undertakes, often referring to herself as a “hybrid” producer. She believes that there is not one single way to tell a story and that sometimes you might be led to a different place than you expected. She tells the story of freedivers in the Deschutes River who dive for lost belongings in River Looters (Mountainfilm 2020).
