Rafael Pease

Rafael Pease is a Chilean/Cuban filmmaker who uses his background in environmental sciences, socio-environmental rights activism and career as a professional snowboard mountaineer to create forward-thinking documentaries. Pease’s goal is to educate, inspire and create change in every documentary and project he makes while giving a voice to marginalized communities and accurately depicting the science and importance of threatened areas and people. He is the director of SOMOS (Mountainfilm 2023).
