Michael Brown
For Michael Brown, adventure is both a passion and a profession, taking him to the worlds harshest, most dangerous environments to seek out compelling stories. The adventure athlete and filmmaker has been to the summit of Mount Everest five times, each time with cameras rolling. Based in Boulder, Colorado where he lives with his wife, Julia, and their three sons, his work as a director and cinematographer has spanned all seven continents and has won many awards, including three national Emmy Awards from five nominations. He has been called a "swashbuckling librarian" by Outside Magazine, and "a master of gut-dropping action" by Mens Journal. He is the director of The Weight of Water (Mountainfilm 2019).
