Maia Wikler

Maia Wikler is a freelance journalist and doctoral candidate in political ecology, based on Vancouver Island. Wikler wields storytelling as a tool for justice in the face of corporate abuse and the climate crisis, from reporting on the frontlines of deforestation blockades and the Arctic Refuge to the UN Climate Talks. She is the director of Walking Two Worlds (Mountainfilm 2023).
