Louis-Jack

Louis-Jack is an artist-filmmaker who is absorbed as much in artist moving image as arthouse cinema. Along his journey towards creating Petrichor, his BFI-funded debut narrative short, he has created award-winning film essays, dance films and creative documentaries, always seeking to carve his own path through his distinct poetic style. His films are known for their dreamlike, otherworldly quality, while also dealing with the complex psychology of high-stakes performance and the realities of mental health struggles. To escape his own reality, Louis-Jack spends his time away from filmmaking in the mountains rock climbing and skiing. He is the director of Midair (Mountainfilm 2022), a metaphysical bouldering film featuring some of the UK's strongest climbers in iconic Lake District locations.
