Len Necefer
Dr. Len Necefer is the CEO & Founder of NativesOutdoors – a native-owned athletic and creative collective. The mission of NativesOutdoors is simple – they are in business to empower indigenous communities to create a sustainable future through the products and stories they tell. His storytelling work melds the intersection of sport, environmental advocacy and indigenous people, it has been featured in Alpinist, National Geographic and over 50 film festivals globally. He holds a Doctorate in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon and has previously worked with the U.S. Department Energy and the University of Arizona. Necefer is the co-director and subject of the film Welcome to Gwichyaa Zhee (Mountainfilm 2019), and the executive producer of The Spirit of the Peaks (Mountainfilm 2022).
