Kathryn Francis

Kathryn Francis is a documentary director and producer with a background in political science and international education. Her film career began after completing graduate school at Harvard University, wanting to bring important ideas into the broader conversation through film. Her two main goals in life and work are to protect our wild places and to empower marginalized groups and individuals to stand in their power and tell their stories. Francis is most interested in working on projects that seek to improve the lives and places they are focused on. She co-directed Ascend (Mountainfilm 2024) alongside Campbell Brewer.
