
Kahlil Hudson
Kahlil Hudson was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. He currently works as a professor at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe and showcases the iconic characters and personalities of the American West at Talweg Creative, where he partners with fellow filmmakers Grayson Schaffer and Ryan Heffernan. Hudson has worked on features and commercials for clients like Discovery, Showtime, MTV, History Channel and Yahoo! He shot the 2011 SXSW Audience Award-winning Kumaré (2011) and The Thick Dark Fog (2011) before making Low & Clear (Mountainfilm 2012), a film that follows two formerly close friends who reunite for one last fishing trip. Hudson went on to team up with Heffernan and Schaffer to direct A Prayer for Joshua Jackson (Mountainfilm 2020), which follows the tragedy and triumph of a young race car driver following his dreams.
