Julio Palacio

Julio Palacio is a director focused on purposeful documentaries, commercials and branded content. Originally from Colombia, he moved to the U.S. at age 20 to continue his education in film and acting. He graduated from Georgia State with a bachelor’s degree in film and video production and went on to direct commercials and films for clients including MasterCard, Daimler, McDonald's, Canada Dry, Interface, Snapple, National Bank of Australia, Stanley Black and Decker, among others. Palacio’s passion for filmmaking has taken him all over the world including Australia, Germany, Italy, China, EAU, Taiwan, India, Colombia, Chile, Brazil and the U.S. Palacio has an eye for authentic moments as he believes this is what makes documentaries and films special, but is also a strong believer in the power of beautiful and cinematic visuals. He is the director of Not The Science Type: Gitanjali (Mountainfilm 2023).
