Joshua Seftel

Joshua Seftel is best known for directing the political satire War, Inc., as well as the Emmy-winning landmark series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” Seftel is a contributor to the Peabody Award-winning program “This American Life,” and his essays have appeared on NPR, The New York Times and “CBS Sunday Morning.” Seftel is also an award-winning documentary filmmaker. His work includes Lost and Found, Taking on the Kennedys, Ennis’ Gift and The Home Team. Seftel’s viral series “The Secret Life of Muslims” is a Peabody Finalist. Seftel is the director of Zain's Summer: From Refugee to American Boy (Mountainfilm 2017) and Stranger at the Gate (Mountainfilm 2022).
