Joseph Newton
Deaf most of his life, Joseph Newton uses his camera as a tool to document space and time. His work is uniquely original and creative, and he insists that each image is a mystery, a painting, a sculpture or a storybook, depending on the imagination of the viewer. The finished product is the quality of contrast, texture and color that draws the viewer into an experience, rather than a fleeting expression. Newton’s work has shown at Gallery 3 and the Piper Gallery, both in Crested Butte, Colorado. He works as a landscape architect at ValleyCrest Design Group in Denver and as a graphic designer and photographer.
