Joanna Spindler

Ice climbing brought Joanna Spindler to the San Juan Mountains in 2012, but she found the region compelling for more than climbing and has spent subsequent years as a librarian, an artist and freelance writer, entrepreneur, adventure nanny, and a board member and wilderness access advocate with the Telluride Mountain Club. She has been involved in Mountainfilm since her first year in Telluride, first as a volunteer and now as a festival emcee, tour presenter and Kidz Kino programmer. Joanna is endlessly inspired by the wild west and good folks telling good stories.
