Gabriel Lifton-Zoline
After a decade spent working on political campaigns, Gabriel Lifton-Zoline began experimenting with the intersection between politics, art and news. He's the chief operating officer of RYOT, a news media company and virtual reality studio that connects news stories to cause-based action. Lifton-Zolines role capitalizes on his experience building political grassroots movements to ensure that RYOTs immersive storytelling can inspire the new generation to listen, act and participate in the collective action of change. In The Sculptor of Damascus (Mountainfilm 2016), Lifton-Zoline tells the story of Mehyar Sawas, a talented artist and Syrian war refugee. His film Crisis of Confidence (Mountainfilm 2020), dissects former President Jimmy Carters 1979 energy crisis speech, revealing just how relevant his words still are today.
