Farid Noori

Farid Noori, from Ghazni, Afghanistan, first discovered mountain biking while on a high school scholarship exchange program in Maine. He continued his cycling journey at Middlebury College as a collegiate bike racer, where he met his friend and For the Love of Afghanistan (Mountainfilm 2022) co-director, Asher Brown. The film follows Noori’s vision of making Afghanistan’s Hindukush Mountains a pure playground and sanctuary for local Afghans, as well as a bucket list destination for mountain bikers all over the world. He is currently an MBA student at the Walton College at the University of Arkansas where he also continues to operate and grow his nonprofit, Mountain Bike Afghanistan.
