Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee
Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee is an Emmy-and Peabody-nominated filmmaker, musician, composer, and founder and executive editor of Emergence Magazine. He has directed and produced numerous award-winning films including: Earthrise, Sanctuaries of Silence, The Atomic Tree, Counter Mapping (Mountainfilm 2019), Marie’s Dictionary, Isle de Jean Charles (Mountainfilm 2014), Elemental, A Thousand Suns, What Would it Look Like and The Nightingale's Song (Mountainfilm 2024). His work has been featured in The New York Times and The Atlantic, exhibited at The Smithsonian and screened at festivals worldwide. He is also the founder and director of The Global Oneness Project, a Webby Award-winning media and educational platform. Prior to his work in film, Vaughan-Lee performed with some of the biggest names in jazz and released two critically acclaimed records under his own name: Previous Misconceptions (2002) and Borrowed Time (2005).
