
Dillon Hayes
Originally from Kansas, Dillon Hayes now lives in Los Angeles where he works as a video director, editor and photographer. His documentary The Bessemer Cutoff (2015) charts one young womans journey away from the violence and racism of her hometown and in The Rolling Mill (2017), a Vimeo Staff Pick, Hayes tells the story of the forgotten city of Cumberland, Maryland and the communitys attempts to revive it. His short film All I Have to Offer You Is Me (Mountainfilm 2020) looks back on the life of an aspiring country singer who developed a degenerative vocal cord disease that ended his singing career. Holding a degree in journalism, Hayes draws his inspiration from music, literature, skateboarding, politics and history.
