Dierdre Wolownick
Educator, musician, marathoner and mother Deirdre Wolonick spent the early years of her adult life struggling through a marriage while juggling work and raising two young children. Through encouraging her kids to be fearlessly confident, she cultivated two exceptionally adventurous humans, one of them being legendary climber Alex Honnold. Her eldest, Stasia, urged her to take up running at 54, which led to the completion of several marathons. At 58, she joined Alex on her first rock climb. With the release of her first book, The Sharp End of Life, Wolonick has proven that it’s never too late to do something daring.
