David Breashears
David Breashears is a legendary American mountaineer, filmmaker and author whose ties to Mountainfilm go back to the early days. In 1985, he became the first American to reach the summit of Everest more than once, and he is best known for guiding Rick Bass to the summit of Everest, thus completing Bass’ ascent of the Seven Summits. He has worked on several documentary as well as narrative films. In 1998, he directed, starred in and produced the IMAX film Everest, and he has authored several books.
