Brian Hall
Creative director Brian Hall uses his expertise in cliffs, high structures, mountains, snow, ice, glaciers, arctic terrain, canyons and deserts to assist in film safety and logistics in extreme locations. Hall is an IFMGA certified mountain guide, with expeditions to Mount Everest (in winter), K2, Jannu, Nuptse, Makalu, Baltoro Kangri, Shivling, Ogre 2 and peaks throughout the Andes. His main focus in recent years is facilitating safety, rigging and location advice on film projects. Halls numerous credits include the BAFTA award-winning Touching the Void and the recent Everest feature film. Together with Keith Partridge he is the co-director of Bonington: Mountaineer (Mountainfilm 2019). Between 1980 and 2008, Hall co-directed the Kendal Mountain Film Festival. He also co-directed SteepEdge.com between 2011 and 2015, a film download website for the adventure sports and mountain community. Hall and his wife split their life between the Peak District, UK, and Queenstown, New Zealand.
