Beth Gage
Beth Gage is a documentary filmmaker based in Telluride, Colorado. Since 1993 Beth and her husband George Gage, as Gage & Gage Productions, have created award-winning documentaries that educate, entertain, inspire and motivate viewers. Concentrating on the environment, human rights and social justice, the Gages create compelling personal films on issues underrepresented in the current media. Together they choose the film’s subject and produce and direct the films. Beth creates the stories; George is the films’ cinematographer. Their films have been distributed theatrically, on television, educationally, for consumer DVD and streamed. They have screened in national and international markets, won dozens of awards and are highly acclaimed by film critics. Fire on the Mountain (Mountainfilm in 1995), the Gages’ first documentary, premiered at Telluride Mountainfilm in 1995 where it won the Grand Prize. Since then, Gage & Gage Productions has premiered 11 documentaries at Mountainfilm, including Kickass Katie Lee (Mountainfilm 2016), A Home Called Nebraska (Mountainfilm 2020), The Children Will Lead the Way (Mountainfilm 2022) and most recently, Bread Bike (Mountainfilm 2023).
