Ben Sturgulewski
Hailing from the harsh Aleutian Islands in Alaska, Ben “Sturge” Sturgulewski moved south to attend Colorado College, graduating as a English-film major. Beyond Sturgulewski’s creativity and writing skills, he is a tireless visual artist, both at the editing deck and behind the camera. He has a vast portfolio of award-winning films dedicated to the exploration of the world’s wild side. The short Sun Dog (Mountainflm 2015) perfectly captures the sweet solitude of skiing in the backcountry with your pal. Partnering with DPS Skis, Sturgulewski created the shorts The Weight of Winter, The Warmth of Winter and Snowflake (all Mountainfilm 2016). He also directed The Space Within (Mountainfilm 2018), Wallmapu (Mountainfilm 2019) and The Afghan Champ(Mountainfilm 2021).
