Andrew Michael Ellis creates films that highlight injustice and challenge stereotypes through intimate storytelling and award-winning cinematography including Life After Water (Mountainfilm 2016), Jonah, Zo Kwe Zo (both at Mountainfilm 2017), The Deep Place, The Fate of the Wild (both at Mountainfilm 2018), and The Wild Inside (Mountainfilm 2019). His films has been featured by festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, DOC NYC, and Camerimage, and outlets such as CNN, The New York Times, and The New Yorker. The director, cinematographer and educator is based in Austin.
