Alicia Dwyer
Director Alicia Dwyer helped start Veracity Productions, an independent company that creates cinema and media content for PBS, The Jim Henson Company, The New York Times Magazine online, Oprah.com, The California Endowment and a variety of nonprofit organizations. She was a director on the theatrically released Bully and the four-hour PBS Independent Lens documentary series "The Calling." Dwyers previous producing and editing work includes the Emmy-nominated HBO series Pandemic: Facing AIDS and the Oscar-winning documentary Into The Arms of Strangers. Dwyer also worked on Participant Productions The World According to Sesame Street, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006, and her newest documentary, called Xmas Without China (Mountainfilm 2013), is a humorous and personal look at how Americans depend on Chinese goods.
