Update: Spine Surgery for Prudence Mabhena
If you want to support spine surgery for Prudence Mabhena, featured in the film Music by Prudence, we have gotten some information from Rick Hodes:

The cost of spine surgery alone would probably be in the area of $7500-$10,500. I don't know how much hand surgery might cost. With airfare, plus the cost of housing and her attendants, we're probably talking about $18,000- $20,000.
