From Haiti

Mountainfilm Board Member Ruth Bender happened to be in Haiti when the earthquake struck. She is stuck in Jacmel, which is 24 miles southwest of Port au Prince. She is at a hotel with food, water and even intermittent Internet, which she uses to update us on Facebook:Jacmel has been hit quite hard, 10-30% of the buildings demolished or uninhabitable. Continuing aftershocks (just had one while typing). I am trying to send pics that we took, but the internet has been tough this afternoon since we went down to Jacmel to take photos. True devastation. It's not just in Port au Prince as the news seems to be indicating. Spread the word . Really!! They need aid, supplies, etc. down in Jacmel. They are using the airstrip for a refugee camp - and it is right across from the UN station.R
