When a ghost town of massive stone buildings, gargantuan houses, antler chandeliers and mountain gothic architecture is discovered high in the San Juans, what ensues is satire in its highest form. The Lost People of Mountain Village asks many questions, but perhaps the most puzzling is this: How could the denizens of this former town have 19 bathrooms per house, but not a single grocery store?
