Tattoo Odyssey

Photographer Chris Rainier is familiar to Mountainfilm audiences who have appreciated his exploration of the human condition across the globe. Part anthropologist, much of his work targets disappearing worlds. He has documented the last speakers of dying languages, the last guardians of threatened cultures and the last wild people living beyond the edges of maps. In Tattoo Odyssey, we’re awarded a rare look into Chris’s fascinating world as he delves into the symbolism and meaning of tattoos and the unexpected bond they represent between traditional indigenous and modern societies.
