Second Sight

Cataracts have slowly robbed Joanaly Lahiohan of her vision and stripped her of her role as a wife and mother in the Philippines. Removing cataracts is a simple and routine surgery in many countries, but for 18 million people in the developing world, this care is inaccessible. Second Sight follows Lahiohan to an ophthalmology clinic where traveling surgeons restore not only sight, but this family’s hope.
