Meet the Author — Roman Dial: The Adventurer’s Son
Its every parents worst nightmare: A child lost alone in the wilderness. Its a reality National Geographic Explorer and scientist Roman Dial was forced to face when his 27-year-old son walked alone into Corcovado National Park, an untracked rainforest along Costa Ricas remote Pacific Coast, and then dropped off the map. While hiking through the dense jungle and searching for clues of his sons whereabouts, Dial was left to question the fearlessness he instilled in his son and his own adventure-fueled lifestyle.
Dial will explore his experience and his memoir, The Adventurers Son, with Rebecca Martin, the founding director of National Geographics Expeditions Council and the founder and president of Exploration Connections.
