Wylie Overstreet

The nature of science and the science of nature are subjects Wylie Overstreet takes to heart. As a filmmaker and author, Overstreet enjoys sharing his understanding of both subjects to better achieve an understanding of who we are as humans. In 2011, he published a satire book called A History of the World According to Facebook, and, in 2015, he co-directed the short film To Scale: The Solar System (Mountainfilm 2016) with Alex Gorosh, which offers an unusual and realistic perspective of the solar system. Still enchanced by the night sky, Overstreet brought a telescope to the streets of LA and recorded pedestrian's reactions in A New View of the Moon (Mountainfilm 2018).
