While Telluride does have its very own airport (TEX), flying into our airport can be tricky due to weather complications and its limited size.
Fortunately, there are other options.
Montrose, CO (MTJ) is about an hour and a half from the Town of Telluride. Telluride Express, and many of the hotels in Telluride offer shuttles to and from the Montrose airport. Rental cars are also available at MTJ.
Cortez, CO (CEZ) is also about an hour and a half from the Town of Telluride. Shuttles and rental cars are available for traveling to and from Telluride to CEZ.
Telluride is roughly a 6.5 hour drive (362 miles) from the city of Denver. If you wish to travel to Telluride by way of Denver, the drive is beautiful but be sure to check reports for construction and road closures.
Telluride is just under 6.5 hours (366 miles) from Salt Lake City by car. This route takes you through the town of Moab (a very cool stop on any road trip) and into Telluride.
While Memorial Day weekend typically marks the beginning of summer, there is always the off chance that we will have snow. Be sure to keep a close eye on our weather and forecast as the festival weekend approaches. Always pack layers and options for any weather.
