Water is our most essential resource, and it’s being depleted at an alarming rate around the world, creating what may arguably be the most urgent crisis facing humanity. Last Call at the Oasis, by acclaimed filmmaker Jessica Yu, is a thoughtful and engaging look at this situation. Featuring activist Erin Brockovich and water expert Peter Gleick, among others, the film does something unusual — it sounds the alarm without being alarmist and offers hope if we act now.
